Accommodation

You will be staying at a 3-star hotel (Value) in Kathmandu and Pokhara on bed and breakfast with an attached bathroom, and at the best possible lodge or guesthouse during the trek.

Transportation

In your travel cost, we have also included your transportations fare like pickup and drop to the airport. All ground transportations as mentioned in the “What’s included” section.

You will be seeing us outside the airport holding the signboard of TMG Adventure when you arrive in Kathmandu. If you arrive in the late evening, we will straightly take you to the hotel, and if you arrive in the day time, you will take you to our office. Meals

In Kathmandu and Pokhara you are served breakfast at your hotel. You are trekking near the mountains, that is, you are trekking at a higher altitude, so your body needs energy, and you will get the energy from the food you eat. The foods that we provide you have the right amount of carbohydrate, protein, and fat. We will provide you these in all three square meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Guides

All our trekking guides have done training on how to tackle with altitude mountain sickness as well as how to use the first aid kit. They are also taught to take care of the trekkers 24/7 if they are affected by an altitude mountain sickness or if they are sick during the trek. Emergency evacuation if you need, you will be provided a helicopter. That is the reason why our guides have 24/7 access to TMG Adventure in Kathmandu.

Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is a must because you are trekking near the mountains at an altitude of more than 3000 m. You must ensure in your country before coming to Nepal, before starting your trek. Please bring with you a copy of insurance, and your insurance policy must cover the medical expenses, helicopter evacuation from the altitude of 5000 m to 6000 m, and other things related to your health. Please give the copy to TMG Adventure. It will send the information to the insurance company if you use the mountain rescue operation, mentioned above.

Passport and Visa

Before coming to Nepal, your passport must have the validity of 6 months, and you can put the Tourist Visa ‘On Arrival’ on your passport at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal. The sightseeing that you are going to do, today, comprises of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and they can be categorized as Stupas, Temples, and Palaces. The sightseeing can be personalized, according to your interest, and all the effective route planning for the sightseeing will be done by the city guide of TMG, focusing on all the values of your satisfaction like how much time you want to spend, the mode of transportation you want to choose, such as rickshaw, private car, cycle, motorbike and it also takes walking distance into account. Normally we do sightseeing in a private car. If you have any interesting mode of transportation. Write to us at the time of booking. This price includes rickshaw, private car, cycle only. If you like to drive motorbike you need to pay extra USD 25 per person.

  • Kathmandu Durbar Square

From the hotel where you are staying, nothing is near the Kathmandu Durbar Square. It was a ceremonial site; it was a palace where their would-be kings used to be coronated in the past, now it is a palace cum museum, and to be there is to experience how the royals spend their life. Stand among the monuments, temples, and statues that back to the 17th and 18th centuries.

  • Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple)

Be well prepared in advance because this stupa is located at quite an altitude and is more than 2,000 years old. This is the most important of all the Buddhist Stupas in Nepal and has a fascinating face of Lord Buddha on every side, and its base has the stonework of 5 Dhyani Buddhas – VairocanaRatnasambhavaAmitabhaAmoghasiddhi, and Aksobhya, and each of these represents the wisdom of Lord Buddha. People flock to this stupa to see the birds-eye view of Kathmandu.

  • Pashupatinath 

Pashupatinath is as old as the hills, but the Hindu Committees of Nepal, looks after it, such as renovation and maintenance, and there are new adds on in and around the temple. Pashupatinath is the most important temple of Lord Shiva and located not far away from the heart of Kathmandu. Only Hindus are permitted to enter from the main gate to Pashupatinath Temple. As a visitor, you will enjoy the rich combination of architecture from a distance. At the riverbank, you might see the Hindu Cremation taking place.

  • Bouddhanath 

Bouddhanath is also a stupa. It is one of the holiest pilgrimages of the Tibetan Buddhists. It has a white doom just like Swayambhunath, whatever the myth is, it contains the bones of Kasyapa Buddha (Buddha incarnation), while others say it contains the bone of Lord Buddha. Around the base of the stupa are 108 small images of the Dhyani Buddha Amitabha. Explore the surrounding chanting Buddhists.

Early morning after having your breakfast, your guide will receive you to your hotel and lead to the tourist bus station. Approximately 7-8 hours of driving we will reach our next destination Pokhara, a beautiful city that is also popular as “The City of Lakes.” Along in the road trip, you will encounter the beautiful landscapes, terrace farming, rivers, towns, and the local villages. You will check in to your hotel. After having refreshment you can walk through the beautiful Phewa Lake with your guide. This is your optional activities. If you like to walk around, at the time of the trip, you can share it with us.

After having your breakfast, your guide will lead you to the Nayapul. From where your trekking start. On the way, we can see the mighty Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) Mountain watching over us. Nayapul will be our gateway to reach the Annapurna Base Camp. After our lunch, we descend on to the Modi River and cross. Stone trails will lead us further up through beautiful forests and grassy valleys until we reach Tikhedhunga our overnight destination of the day.

Ghorepani-PoonHill-Trek

After breakfast, we begin our trek towards Ghorepani. Reaching Ulleri we can have a 1-hour break for lunch and we continue towards Ghorepani. The trail will ascend and descend at parts, the landscape changes from open farmlands to lush rainforest. Overnight stay at Ghorepani.

We have an early rise at 4.20 am to climb up the famous Poon Hill for a stunning sunrise view of the Annapurna range. Descending back down to Ghorepani for our breakfast and we continue the trip towards Tadapani. We ascend upwards through beautiful rhododendron forests filled with the nature songs of many bird species. A downwards hike towards the valley and again up the mountain until we reach Tadapani our overnight stay of the day.

In the morning we can see some panoramic views of Mt Machhapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail), Mt. Annapurna South and the Hiun Chuli. Today our trek brings us first through a jungle trail, passing some rural villages we follow mostly the village roads up and down until reaching the village of Chhomrong our overnight stay. Chhomrong provides internet service and most of the lodges have a facility of hot showers.

The trail to Dobhan will be mostly through the jungle. Trying to depart around 8 am we will pass various villages and try to take our lunch in Sinuwa (2360m). On the way from Sinuwa to Dobhan, we pass the village of Bamboo (2310m) where we will stay later on in this trek. Following most of the jungle trails, the scenery is filled with jungle, nature, and wildlife. Reaching Dobhan we unpack in the lodge and stay for the night.

Chhomrong to Dovan
Sinuwa Annapurna Trekking

As we climb higher the trek becomes more difficult. Our destination today is the Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC). We traverse more jungle trails and cross bamboo bridges, ridges and slippery trails as we ascend higher towards Deurali (3200m). We climb over the Hinku Cave. We leave the jungle behind and enter a more barren and rocky terrain, chances to spot various wildlife such as the mountain goat or the elusive snow leopard. Reaching Deurali we can take a well-deserved break and continue onwards to Bagar (3300m) from where we can take a direct trail towards the Machhapuchhre Base Camp our overnight destination of the day.

Machapuchhre Base Camp Nepal

After waking up we can enjoy the views of the mighty mountains such as the; Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Hiun Chuli. Breakfast and we continue to our goal of the trek Annapurna Base Camp. The trail is gradually upwards through some rough terrain with different flowers along the way. Ascending more we finally reach our goal destination the Annapurna Base Camp!

Annapurna Base Camp offers spectacular views of the Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Tent Peak, Machhapuchhre and many other peaks. Today we descend back towards Bamboo. The trails become much more pleasant and we enjoy the downwards hike a lot. Passing previous places such as Deurali the trail is all familiar to us until we reach Bamboo for our overnight stay.

Today’s end destination is one to look forward to; Jhinu Danda famous for its healing hot springs! The way is the same until Chhomrong. From Chhomrong we divert from our known trail and hike for about 45 minutes downwards towards Jhinu Danda. The hot springs are about a 20-minute walk from the village and are famous for its healing effects. Overnight stay at Jhinu Danda.

Today is a long but pleasant day. After breakfast, we trek towards New Bridge from where we cross a major bridge and pleasant easy-going trails until reaching Landruk a scenic village with a few lodges. From Landruk we continue through nature trails until reaching our final destination of the day Pothana.

The last day of our trek today. Hiking downwards through beautiful forest trails we reach Dhampus a very nice village from where we can see our last panoramic views of the Annapurna range, continuing more downwards until reaching a place called Phedi, from here we will drive to Pokhara lakeside city for our overnight stay. Depending on what time we reach Pokhara we can participate in various activities such as boating on Phewa Lake, visiting the Davids Fall waterfalls and the Gupteshwor Cave.
