Welcome to the Land of Himalayas, a birthplace of Lord Buddha; known as “The Light of Asia” and also the City Of Temples- Kathmandu Valley. To receive you, our staff will be at the Tribhuvan International Airport. You can notice him, holding company signboard. After that, will transfer you to the hotel. If you have some spare time, you can walk to the street of Thamel. A company representative will meet you and explain to you about your trip in detail.
The sightseeing that you are going to do, today, comprises of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and they can be categorized as Stupas, Temples, and Palaces. The sightseeing can be personalized, according to your interest, and all the effective route planning for the sightseeing will be done by the city guide of TMG, focusing on all the values of your satisfaction like how much time you want to spend, the mode of transportation you want to choose, such as rickshaw, private car, cycle, and it also takes walking distance into account.
Kathmandu Durbar Square
From the hotel where you are staying, nothing is near the Kathmandu Durbar Square. It was a ceremonial site; it was a palace where the would-be kings used to be coronated in the past, now it is a palace cum museum, and to be there is to experience how the royals spend their life. Stand among the monuments, temples, and statues that back to the 17th and 18th century.
Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple)
Be well prepared in advance because this stupa is located at quite an altitude and is more than 2,000 years old. This is the most important of all the Buddhist Stupas in Nepal and has a fascinating face of Lord Buddha on every side, and its base has the stonework of 5 Dhyani Buddhas – Vairocana, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha, Amoghasiddhi, and Aksobhya, and each of these represents the wisdom of Lord Buddha. People flock to this stupa to see the birds-eye view of Kathmandu.
Pashupatinath
Pashupatinath is as old as the hills, but the Hindu Committees of Nepal, looks after it, such as renovation and maintenance, and there are new adds on in and around the temple. Pashupatinath is the most important temple of Lord Shiva and located not far away from the heart of Kathmandu. Only Hindus are permitted to enter from the main gate to Pashupatinath Temple. As a visitor, you will enjoy the rich combination of architecture from a distance. If you are lucky, then you might see the Hindu Cremation taking place.
Bouddhanath
Bouddhanath is also a stupa. It is one of the holiest pilgrimages of the Buddhists. It has a white doom just like Swayambhunath, whatever the myth is, it contains the bones of Kasyapa Buddha (Buddha incarnation), while others say it contains the bone of Lord Buddha. Around the base of the stupa are 108 small images of the Dhyani Buddha Amitabha. Go anytime to enjoy these images.
After breakfast we hit the trail again. Ascending and descending trails lead us to the crossing of the Tharo Khola (River). Continuing on we pass the famous hotsprings of Tatopani, climbing over a ridge and crossing the Bhudhi Gandaki over a suspension bridge. The trail leads us up and down crossing a few more bridges, following the river until we have steep climb that brings us all the way towards Jagat village where we will stay for the night.
Today we start with a climb towards Salleri followed by descending to Sirdibas. The trails continues to the Ghatta Khola (River), following it upstream and crossing the large suspension bridge of the Gurung village Philim. Heading more up and passing several rivers and villages we head through a bamboo forest until reaching the Deng Khola. Crossing this river brings us directly to the village of Deng where we will spent the night.
Today we will cross the Budhi Gandaki several times heading for Namrung. We climb up to Rana and head up west towards the valley. Passing through forests and several Mani Walls we take the route towards Phrok village from where we can see amazing views of the Siringi Himal. Crossing again the Budhi Gandaki for several times the trail leads us past some Gompas and following the river further upstream. After entering a narrow gorge the path becomes less dense and we have a pleasant hike until a last steep climb and reaching Namrung for our overnight stay.
After waking up we can have some spectacular views of the Ganesh and Siring Himals, Mt. Himal Chuli can also be viewed to the south. Ascending more up through forests we reach various rural village and we take a break at Lho village, from here we can see nice views of Mt. Mananslu and we can explore around to the Ribung Gompa. Ascending more up until reach our end destination Samagaon.
Today we spent time in Samagaon to get used to the high altitude. Resting near Sama Village or going on an exploration in the area is equally rewarding. With beautiful views of the glaciers and the himal ranges we can visit the old Gompa also. Overnight stay in Samagaon
Descending to the Budhi Gandaki River and following it up north until we can cross a side stream. Reaching a junction we take the right path as the left one leads to Manaslu Base Camp, we take the Larkya La Pass. The trail is relatively easy and leads us back over the Budhi Gandaki River. A steep climb leads us towards a white kani and finally to Samdo village for our overnight stay.
Our second acclimatization day as we go higher we should not take the lack of oxygen lightly. Today we will perform a training hike with some of the most rewarding views. This hike will bring us up the valley behind the village and to one of the trading passes leading towards Tibet. From here we can see some of the most beautiful views of several peaks such as the Ngadi, Larkye and Simrang. After our hike we head back to the village with the rest of the day free to relax. Overnight stay at Samdo.
Today we head for Larkya Phedi also known as Dharmshala. We cross the Budhi Gandaki again and start to ascend. From this trail we can see the mighty Larkya Glacier, continuing more upwards until reaching the shelter of Larkya Phedi. With plenty of time left today we can relax and get more used to the high altitude. Overnight stay at Larkya Phedi
Departing in the morning we have a short climb reaching the north side of the Larkya Glacier and entering a valley. Here we have some nice views of the Cho Danda and the Larkya Peak. Having a more steeper ascend now we can really feel it but we push onwards into the last section of the pass. From here we are rewarded with stunning views of the giant Annapurna II, Cheo Himal, Kangguru and the Himlung Himal. From here we have long and slow descend until reaching Bimthang village for our overnight stay.
Descending further we head for Tilje. Reaching the Dudh Khola we cross the bridge and the trail goes on through rhododendron forests, fields and valleys. Now we have steep climb over a ridge and we reach the village of Gho. A last push will bring us to Tilje where can stay for the night in one of the lodges.
Following the river further downstream until reaching Bhulbhule we reach the end of our trek. From Bhulbhule we take a jeep to Besishar and from there a local bus that will bring us back to Kathmandu. After our hotel check in we meet back at the office for your trek review.
