Mardi Himal trek is the name heard just a few years ago and it has been a widely popular trekking destination already. This hidden gem is situated just east of one of the most popular treks of Nepal, the Annapurna Base Camp trek. The trekking trail goes along the small paths and through the rhododendron forests. The landscape then changes quite abruptly into a rugged high mountain landscape, with amazing views of Mardi Himal, Machapuchhre, Annapurna South and Hiun Chuli.
Mardi Himal Trek information
Mardi Himal is a recognized new route located in the Annapurna Region. It officially opened in 2012 and in sudden with the large crowds like another region. In the time of the trek, you will pass through the beautiful forested areas, rocky mountain terrain and several base camps which may have snow depending on your travel time you visit. You can complete it by 4-7 days depending on your requirements.
Give a tag to the Mardi Himal Trek is a short trek, as on off the beaten trail as a quiet place; each of these is right. Look at the trek from all of these views, Mardi Himal Trek is a perfect trek in the Annapurna Region, the second-best trekking place of Nepal after the Everest Region. If you ask us which trek is least done by the trekkers, then you would say Mardi Himal Trek. The trekking trail takes a solitary trekker like you to the base camp, a high camp, but before this, it takes you to the lush forest, ethnic villages, terraced lands, glaciated rivers and at the same time shows you the view of the breathtaking mountains.
You will see almost all the famous mountains of the Annapurna Region which are on the list, such as Annapurna, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Hiun Chuli. When you do the Everest Base Camp Trek, the starting point is Lukla, and so is the ending point, but in the Mardi Himal Trek, you do not have to retrace the trekking trail. This trek ends in a different place.
